Sacai
The keyword this season for Sacai's Spring Summer 2012 collection is ‘’Elegance through Transparency’. With a sleek and minimalist silhouette as a base, the combined use of sheer and light with opaque and taut fabrics give the garments an airy dimensionality.
The core colors are clean and crisp white, navy and beige with added shades of blue, yellow, green and pale pastel colors.
The fabrics used incorporate cotton knits with varying types of sheer materials such as cotton eyelet, printed cotton floral with a cutout leaf embroidery, lace and chiffon.
The silhouettes are often combinations of classic items such as cardigans attached to shirting or a tailored jacket with removable inner camisole lining or re-interpretations of classic items with the use of contrasting fabrics such as a cotton knit sweater dress with sheer chiffon back. Some of the key styles of the season are a flared trench coat in cotton eyelet ; a Motorcycle jacket with voluminous gathered back ; dresses that combine several elements in one look such as a cardigan, ruffled camisole and sheer pleated skirt ; and a knit double-breasted blazer with shirting and slip dress attached.
