Bootsy Collins's smile, Prince's silhouette, Snoop Dogg's stoned gaze, Rakim's rage, Dr Dre's attitude... These are just some of the many pictures captured by Xavier de Nauw over the past 20 years. This first solo exhibition of black-and-white portraits compose an anthropology of contemporary music, marked by the feeling of reserve that defines this Parisian’s eye, and his relationship to these noteworthy black contemporary artists.
