La Boca/DC Recordings: La Boca and DC Recordings present "Bald on The Outside" an exhibition of slightly ostentatious sleeve art. From November 16th to December 1st 2007 at colette.

Squirrels, robots, subversion, perversion and badgers: welcome to the topsy-turvy world of DC Recordings. Originally Launched as an outlet for the wayward audio adventures of label founder Depth Charge, the creaky vessel is still afloat... ten years, 23 artists and over 70 releases later. DC Recordings has released music from the following artist : The Emperor Machine, Padded Cell, Depth Charge, The Orichalc Phase, Kelpe,White Light Circus, Tom Tyler, The Octagon Man, Vincent Markowski, Alexander's Dark Band, Big Two Hundred, The Oscillation, Clause Four, Giallos Flame. Formed in 2002 by Scot Bendall and Alain de la Mata, La Boca is an independent design circus specializing in art and design for the film and music industries and has been providing DC with questionable record sleeves for more than five - very long - years.
This exhibition attempts to celebrate this union of dischord and presents a selection of the sleeves carefully recreated as large prints for the first time. Each print will be available to purchase as limited edition, signed silkscreen or giclee prints for the duration of the exhibition.
