Multi-coloured mountain printed silk shorts, elasticated waist, two hip pockets, central leg pleats in the front and back, two side splits.
With the nice days showing up, the CARVEN woman naturally relaxes outdoors. As the Swiss mountains rise in the background behind her, she is surrounded by Balthus and Heinrich Khün's images.
This season, the colour palette was inspired by summer flowers, sky blues and grass greens. Tee-shirt dresses were printed with 1960's souvenir postcards of flamboyant Swiss mountain landscapes in the spring, when a cloudy sky was seen on a long crepe dress. Modest at first sight, the pieces were often more revealing in the back, for a "good girl" look with a twist.
Technical fabrics were combined with more rustic materials (lace and organza, gros grain contrast details or silk and leather) while the volumes, colours and the fabrics’ combinations were often surprising.
Indeed, a sulphur yellow pinafore dress was worn over a pastel shirt, a tobacco colour hooded rain jacket was cropped at the waist, an Oxford tunic shirt with a denim organza collar was worn with elastic shorts in faille, and leather perfectos came in floral shades of apricot and geranium.
All in all, this resort collection was all about contrasts for Guillaume Henry.
